DUBAI

Since the inaugural edition in 2006, the Dunlop 24H DUBAI has become firmly established as the first international endurance race of the year for GTs, touring cars and 24H Specials. The cooperation with the Dutch National Racing Team (DNRT) is one of the reasons that the  race is going smooth and steady. The DNRT has the professional attitude, sportsmanship and know-how  to be an invaluable asset for the  event.

Dubai in itself is a very attractive destination, with uncrowded and clean beaches and year-round sunshine (January has an average temperature of 25 degrees), luxury hotels and restaurants, serving a variety of international cuisine, world-class shopping malls, gold and spice souks, desert adventures and heritage attractions for a fascinating Arabic experience.
Dubai is a very modern and open country, safe and open to people from all continents like Europe, Africa, Asia, America and Australia. In short, Dubai has fun and excitement in store for every family, and the Dunlop 24H DUBAI is giving it even an extra boost for motorsport fans.

THE RACE TRACK

The event will take place at the Dubai Autodrome Grand Prix Circuit. The length of the circuit according to the FIA Track License is 5,39km. The course will run in clockwise direction. The 5.39km track at the Dubai Autodrome is one of the most modern in the world; it is also one of the most challenging, as it has a combination of technical and  high-speed corners with 19 turns in total. The track is friendly with very safe and wide run off areas. No gravel so ideal for a 24 hour race. No doubt about it: The circuit remains a challenge, year after year!

FUEL

In Dubai there is a central refuelling area.
Teams have to refuel themselves with the available standard petrol and diesel pumps located at the refuelling area at the end of the pit lane. Teams do not need to bring special refuelling equipment like rigs. Therefore all vehicles must be able to refuel directly with a commercial type hose as used in usual service stations. The use of adaptors or filler bottles is strictly forbidden. There will be six petrol pumps (octane 98) and two diesel pumps available.
For the Dunlop 24H DUBAI each team pays a fixed amount for their fuel which they can use for free practice, qualifying and the race.

TYRES

Dunlop, as title sponsor, will be the exclusive and single tyre supplier for Dunlop 24H DUBAI. All participating teams are obligated to run the entire event (shake down, all (free) practices, qualifying and 24H race) on Dunlop tyres.
Only Dunlop tyres may be used which are delivered by Dunlop in Dubai. Those tyres can be recognized by a special decal/marking.

Advantages of Dunlop Tyres
- Very attractive tyre prices
- Teams don’t need to pay VAT
- Dunlop will take care of the transportation of the tyres to Dubai
- Maximum competition because all teams will run on the same high quality Dunlop tyres
- Teams only pay for the tyres they actually need (fitted on their rims)
- Technical support from Dunlop during the entire event (service engineers in 6 languages)
- Each team will receive 5 sweaters from Dunlop for FREE
